Fourth of July

First time buying fireworks... He wanted them all but had the best attitude ever when I said no to the expensive ones.

Spent the prevening with Jeff and Ashley and their kiddos at the Urban Swim Club in Manasas... Very cool place. In addition to the pool that you'd expect, they have hot grills all ready to go, tons of picnic tables and shade and lots of flat grassy areas for lawn games.

Next it was off to Jeff and Ashley's to wait out the dark and shoot off fireworks.

We had the four and under crowd so sparklers and Morning Glory's ruled the night. The adults all privately agree that the sparklers are better. As far as the bigger small fireworks purple rain and shell shock were the big winners.

The best past was if a firework got bigger and louder half way through all the kids would scream, run back 15 feet and the scream while running back to where they started. (Because we had decked them out in glow bracelets from the dollar store they were easy to see while running around in the dark.) Fun was had by all.
