Happy First Birthday James

Can you believe it's already been a year? Sure doesn't seem like it... Probably because I haven't gotten a years worth of sleep but luckily he's really cute. James is by far the happiest easiest baby I've ever seen anywhere (except for that whole sleep through the night thing). We call him James, J. G. Bames, Little Choo Choo, The Squish and our Trap Baby because hi make everyone who meets him want a baby of their very own.

Caleb says "Happy Birthday to you" and that his favorite things about you are "spinning around James, cleaning around James, sitting in his bed... I want him to get bigger and play with me and hit me"

Today we took you to Red Lobster for you birthday lunch since we went there when my week of puttering slow (not painful) labor started and we thought we'd be seeing you later that night. Well that, and I really like Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

This first year of James's life we haven't moved AT ALL! We have been living in a townhouse in Northern Virginia just south of D.C. We've been to the zoo, a lot of Smithsonian museums, and Mount Vernon. You also went on several road trips and plane flights to Katie's wedding in San Diego, California, to Grove, Oklahoma and Long Island, New York. We took you everywhere, even took you when we went to see The Hobbit Part II and Frozen in theaters.

Happy Birthday James! We love you and are so glad you made us a Family of Four a year ago today :)
