Homefront: Cool Guy Pants

Well the other day Cheryl and I were chatting about getting pictures of our kids for Easter and I started musing about what my little guy would wear. Clearly a new project was looming. So last night after feeling inspired by Dana's "Celebrate the Boy" I dug into my second pair of pants ever (the first ones were red ones for The Bit to wear under his "real" pants when it was so cold)... Drawing technical guidance from ikat (a project from last year's
"Celebrate the Boy" I made these...

Which means I learned SO Many things. I learned what not to do, how to do a "french seam", how to do a buttonhole (Although I left that part off), Front Pockets, Back Pockets and I learned what to change for next time so the fit will be even better. Also I learned that it's quite possible that Caleb might not have a single shirt that will match them :)
