The graph at right shows the actual measurements of Caleb's bilirubin levels over the past 48 hours, and as you can see, the UV therapy made a significant difference in his progression. Yesterday he went from 13.6 when we started the preventative treatment, which dropped us down to 11.8 this morning and 13 on the rebound 4 hours later. A 'treatment level' for Caleb would 18 or 19. So we're still on the rise, but have a couple of points to play with. We'll come in to check his levels on Tuesday just to be sure. With marching orders for tuesday, and to 'sun the baby' with as much ambient sunlight as we can manage, we've been released to go home. I'm sure this will seem more worthy of celebration soon, but for now we're glad he's nursing and healthy, and to be out of here. More to come soon.
