Well after spending March-September 2009 on Army training orders, my new unit has seen it fit to re-class me from 35D, or All-Source Intelligence Officer, to 35C or Geospatial Intelligence Officer.
To earn 35D I had to complete a 21 week course in the 304th MI Battalion at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. The Military Intelligence Officer's Basic Course (MIOBC) was appropriately difficult to prepare young Officers for the ever-changing demands of the tactical intelligence battlefield.
To earn 35C I will be attending a Distributed Common Ground Systems (DCGS) orientation course at Camp Bullis, SA, an Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) Orientation Course in Washington DC, Basic and Advanced IMINT Production Courses in DC, and finally the Imagery Officers Course, back in the 304th at Huachuca.
